Reaching A Milestone!

Over the weekend, Simply Sexy Stories surpassed 10,000 page views! I know, I know, small potatoes compared to many blogs, but for me it's a milestone! I started this blog in the fall of '09 with no clue on how or what to blog.

At first, the task of blogging seemed daunting. What would I write about and more important who would read it? The only thing I did know was I needed to set one up as a new author.

So, I began the journey, hesitantly at first, unsure of my voice in the blog sense and uncertain just how much of me...the real me I'd share. I checked out other author blogs I enjoyed regularly for inspiration as I continued adding post to my own. Little by little, I began to find it liberating to post here in my alter ego universe with the freedom to write about anything I want.

On Dec. 2, 2009, I welcomed Rie McGaha as my very first interviewee (Thanks, Rie)! It was the beginning of many great interviews here on Simply Sexy Stories and gave me the chance to connect and befriend so many wonderful authors. Meanwhile, readership for my blog began to slowly grow.

It's amazing to me that a blog which began with no readers and a clueless author fumbling through the blogosphere has been seen 10,000 times! That's exciting! I am proud of my blog and proud of my readers, so thank you for helping me reach a personal milestone! You can look forward to more fabulous interviews and engaging blog posts in 2011!

See my first Simply Sexy Stories interview with Rie McGaha here!

Coming up:
Feb. 2nd- Ansley Vaughan's Simply Sexy Interview
Feb. 14th - Rachel Hamiowitz
Feb. 21st - As You Wish Releases! Squeeeee!!!

Have a great week, everybody!

Simply Sexy Stories Welcomes Back Sarah Ballance!

NG: I’m welcoming back author Sarah Ballance today on Simply Sexy Stories! Happy New Year! Are there any resolutions pertaining to your writing that you'd like to share?

SB: Thanks for having me! (I can't believe she let me come back, ya'll! The cleaning bill after my last visit must have been horrendous.) My goal this year is to have two novel-length books published. I really thought until November of '10 that I had one done already, but Run To You scored a December release date and put me back at the starting line. Not that I'm complaining, of course. ;c)

NG: What are you reading right now?

SB: Oh, gosh, I'm between reads at the moment and my TBR list is obscene. I'm going to pick up Elaina Lee's Written In Blood next because I'm spotlighting it on my blog, but duty doesn't quell my excitement. It promises to be a fantastic read!

NG: What draws you to romantic suspense novels?

SB: When you add an element of danger to romance, it's just yummy on a whole other level. It's like a perfect storm of emotion: the stakes are high, danger adds passion, and the characters are often at odds with their feelings because circumstances are rarely those you'd associate with falling in love. As a reader, the tension – sexual or otherwise – keep me up all night turning pages. As a writer, creating that kind of story is the ultimate rush.

NG: How has your writing process changed since the first book?

SB: My process hasn't changed, but my voice has. When I wrote the first book, I felt like I had to follow a set of unseen rules. I think I was a bit more regimented, whereas I cut loose with Run To You and really had fun with it. My characters have stronger personalities, and the writing followed suit. It's just BETTER.

NG: What are you working on for the 2011?

SB: I'm got two started. One was to be a romance with suspenseful elements, but I've decided to go ahead and cross the bridge into suspense with it. Meanwhile, I'm loving my romantic suspense Unforgiven. I'm holding a contest through the end of January to name the town my characters will spend some time in, and there were 175 (!!) entries. When I get frustrated with my wordage, I remember that, and I push on.

NG: 175 entries! That's incredible, Sarah and a great incentive to finish the book. Let's talk about your latest release. What's Run To You about?

SB: Who doesn't dream of that great beach escape? A good friend, a hot fling, and life for Mattie James is most excellent … or not. One oceanfront murder becomes two, and with the tide flooding the crime scene twice a day, the only thing sheriff-turned-hot-fling Wyatt Reed has to go on is his gut. And his gut tells him Mattie is the target of a killer, but with a few secrets of his own, he's in no position to trust anyone … not even himself.

NG: What inspired you to pen this sexy tale?

SB: A romantic walk on the beach with my hubby gone awry. I'm a wimp. I'm afraid of a dark beach on a moonless night, especially on the edge of a storm. The waves were churning and tossing foam into the air, the wind whipped and tore through our clothes, and to make matters worse it was just a couple of weeks before Halloween so my mind was quick to jump to gruesome thoughts. He, of course, found my blinding fear hilarious. Naturally, my thoughts turned to murder.

NG: Naturally. lol. Describe the heroine and hero in three words.

SB: Mattie is spontaneous, carefree, and loyal. By contrast, Wyatt is gun shy (crap, that's two!) and … edible. (Yum.)

NG: Gotta love edible men. ;0) Give me three reasons readers will love Run To You.

SB: Not just one, but two hot guys. A stormy beach. And, at the end, the twisted truth.

NG: Delish! Sarah, thank you so much for stopping by Simply Sexy Stories!

Blurb: Mattie James can't pinpoint exactly when she lost control of her life, but the moment she decided to take it back made the front page of the local paper. Desperate to dodge the fallout— and the tabloids—she jumps at the chance to spend an off-season week in a tiny resort community by the sea. Making the trip with her ex-lover is a complication she can live with; coming face to face with a dead woman is not.

The last thing Sheriff Wyatt Reed expected to find on the storm-ravaged beach was a beautiful blonde with a jealous sidekick, but one look at Mattie left him wanting more. Their first date takes an ominous turn when he gets the call that a woman was found murdered. With a killer on the loose and a troubling lack of suspects or motive, Wyatt has to put his feelings aside to focus on the case. But his vow not to become personally involved is shattered when he discovers Mattie's life is on the line, and this time the truth leaves her with a deadly choice . . . and nowhere to run.

Caution! Steamy Excerpt Below:
He lowered her to the bed, and she ached for his touch, longed for him to unleash the most reckless of her desires, but all she got was the light play of his fingers against her bare skin. The phantom graze of his roughened hand against the tight peaks of her breasts left her dizzy, moaning his name, futilely pressing her need against the rough denim of his jeans where their bodies met. Then his mouth followed his fingers, hot and wet, and an explosion of sensation shot through her, taking the last of her control in a firestorm of beautiful, utter surrender.

Somewhere in the background, the ocean whispered threats, but they were lost to another sort of peril—that of being taken, whisked away, left in a wilderness of untamed emotion brought on by the way he breathed need into her with every amazing kiss. And Mattie went willingly, careening through the space that belonged to them, through darkness and light and the unexplored depths of feelings she hadn’t known she had the capacity for.

While she drifted, he stood, and there was just enough light for her to know his eyes never left her as he freed himself of his jeans. Only a madman could look at her so calmly, so unaffected, while she lay trembling, caught between anticipation and recovery, swimming in the troubled waters of giving and taking and letting go.
But then he sank against her, pushed into her, and what must have been the last of his restraints fell when she rocked her hips to meet him. He froze.

"Damn you," he muttered, pressing hot kisses along the path of his words, from the spot where his breath grazed her neck to the sensitive hollow of her ear. "I’m not going to last a second with you doing that."

"Then don’t," she whispered.

He dropped his head, laughing, and took her aching breast in his mouth to coil his tongue around the peak.

Mattie shook with his intensity. She lifted to him, higher, tighter, so every nerve ending begged for him. And with agonizing leisure, he obliged, burying himself inside, stretching and filling her so his retreat left her desperate for his mercy.
He didn’t give it.

She offered her body willingly, but she hadn’t been prepared for him to take her soul along with it. She fought the sensation of drowning in the man, of the sweet torture of losing herself in a kind of physical love she’d never known. But his hands caressed in all the right places—strong at her hip when he pushed deep inside her, gentle when he touched her cheek and cradled her face.

Even though he lingered, teasing, moving so slowly inside her she struggled to believe it was real, the pleasure shot through her, building at a speed that far exceeded the cadence of their bodies. Nothing so incredible had ever existed, not ever.

"Wyatt." A shaky whisper, an urgency. A man threatening to take her hostage with a trace of kisses down her neck and the utter possession of her body.

His eyes met hers, and she lived her entire life in that moment. Vaguely aware she’d blown the concept of a fling all to hell, she wrapped herself around him and held on while he took them both over the edge, careening, to a place she couldn’t have dreamed existed—a place of belonging, one she had no business finding in his arms.

Mattie didn’t bother with second thoughts, or even thirds, if there was such a thing. But lying there in the aftermath, drifting, reeling, she stared at the deep cuts that ran the length of his forearms as he traced the line of her hip with a fingertip, and her instincts of self-preservation kicked in.

"What have you done to me, Wyatt Reed?" The words were barely a whisper above the noise of the storm.

He didn’t respond—he probably hadn’t heard her—but the answer lingered in the air between them anyway, hot and heavy, full of a promise she couldn’t make. Something she’d ignore until the day she walked out of his life, and, she decided, to hell with the consequences until then.

Ohhh! Ohhh! Orgasms!

Orgasms. If you've had one (I sure hope you have), you want another and another and anoth- Sorry, let's continue. Orgasms. They're important. I'm convinced they're part of a healthy, happy, human existence. There's an inner peace that takes over every cell of your body once you achieve the big O. You feel relaxed and alive at the same time. Whether the climax is achieved with another or alone matters not.

I've been thinking about orgasms and how important they are in real life and in the fictional world of my books. Besides the kiss, the first orgasm between the hero and heroine is THE moment you've got to get right. It's the culmination of mounting passion and it has to SIZZLE. I've always loved how easy lovers achieve orgasms between the pages of a romance book. I can't count how many times I've read of heroines reaching the big O with no clitoral stimulation or within the first...yep, the first powerful thrust of the hero. Suspension of disbelief at its finest! Today, I prefer more realistic sex scenes in my work and in whatever I'm reading.

Let's face it, the big O eludes most of us when we're making love. Almost seventy percent of us fake it! Wouldn't it be nice if we (women) could climax in reality as fast and easy as the heroines in the books we love to read? Better yet, wouldn't it be nice to be wired like men and know going into making love that the big O is gonna happen unless you stop short? I think it's amazing guys can get off every single time...barring no health issues or whatever. It's seems so unfair.

But then I think women treasure and feel orgasms deeper. Having orgasms alone is wonderful. Incredible sometimes, but there's nothing like getting there with someone you love (or lust). We know how special they are especially when achieved with a lover. Give us a good climax and we'll remember you forever. We'll daydream about you...even fantasize about you when we're...we're cooking dinner. :)

I read an article where they are developing a pill to help women achieve them more easily. Imagine if there was a pill you could take anytime of day and climax within seconds. Eureka! How would the dating scene and sexual relationships change? I'm pretty sure it would change a lot.

So, for all you readers of erotic romance. Do you want realistic orgasms or do you prefer the fantasy O? What would you think if you read a sex scene where the heroine didn't have an orgasm at all, but still enjoyed the lovemaking? Is that too realistic? :)

I believe orgasms are DIVINE gifts. Give one or get one today!

As You Wish - A Sneak Peek!

It's Friday! Hooray! My erotic paranormal romance As You Wish releases in exactly thirty days and I can't wait! This story took me the longest to complete out of all of my tales and I think I fell in love with my sexy hero, Vander. He's tall, dark and sexy...and he can grant you three wishes if you dare ask! Enjoy the sneak peak from the novel coming soon!
Karis has always turned her back on the supernatural world. When her estranged, self-proclaimed physic mother mysteriously disappears she puts her life on hold to find her. When she discovers and touches a beautiful bottle in her mother's belongings, she comes face to face with Vander, a very sexy telepathic genie who offers to help her tap into her repressed physic abilities and grant her three wishes. The only way Karis can help her mother is by trusting Vander and her own tamped down physic abilities. She will have to face her own fears and listen to her heart to fulfill her wish for happiness.

Caution! Scintillating Sneak Peak Below:

With her eyes still closed, Karis kept chanting the mantra, “This isn’t real, this isn’t happening.” If she said it enough times, it would have to be true.

“Oh, yes, I am real and this is definitely happening.” A deep voice filled the room.

Her eyes flew open and for the second time in less than twenty-four hours, she screamed.

A strange man stood in her living room within arm’s reach! He towered above her, standing well over six feet with rich mahogany skin and a thick muscular build. Her gaze dipped to his bare chest and tapered waist. Ripped oblique muscles disappeared beneath the loose white pants riding low on his hips. Heat flooded her cheeks as she tore her eyes from his torso back to his face.

He held her shocked gaze with the most beautiful hazel eyes she had ever seen. He had the chiselled profile that would inspire fantasies and fantastic works of art. From the crown of his bald head to the soles of his bare feet, his bold features set him apart from the average male. He exuded confidence, evidenced in his relaxed stance and the cool sexy smile directed at her. A stylish goatee encircled his full lips and she couldn’t stop her eyes from travelling over the rest of his rock hard body. She took in every detail from his strong jaw line, thick neck, and the most impressive set of abs on full display. He was sexy as hell, but his sex appeal did nothing to calm her racing heart or the stark realisation she needed to call her doctor now.

“Oh, my God,” she whispered again, feeling light-headed.

The gorgeous apparition chuckled, flashing a perfect smile. “Not quite, but I get that a lot.”

She was losing her mind, hallucinating now in broad daylight.

“Tell me, how I may serve you?” The rich sound of his voice flowed over her like a warm summer breeze.

At least she was hallucinating about a hot guy and not the hideous creature in her dreams. She sucked in a breath as the half-naked man approached her and the entire room began to spin.

“No,” Karis whispered. She took one faltering step backwards and fainted.

As You Wish will be available February 21st with Total E-Bound Publishing!

Have a great weekend!

Hump Day Hottie is...John Cho!

It's hard to believe this cutie is 38 years old! He looks so young and so yummy posing here for GQ magazine. Born in Seoul, South Korea, he was raised in LA and majored in English. He was a high school English teacher before his career in Hollywood jumped off!
I'm so glad it did, he's becoming one of my favorite actors. I truly enjoyed his portroyal of Lt. Sulu in Star Trek which by the way is one of my all time fave movies for 2010!

I hope you're having a great Wednesday!
May the rest of the week fly by!

Simply Sexy Stories Welcomes Sondrae Bennett!

NG: I’m welcoming author Sondrae Bennett today on Simply Sexy Stories and Happy New Year! Are there any resolutions pertaining to your writing that you'd like to share?

SB: They’re not so much resolutions as goals. Mostly to keep writing. I have a word count I strive to reach each day and so far so good!

NG: What do you enjoy the most about being a writer?

SB: I have to say what I enjoy most about being a writer is watching a story unravel under my fingers. It’s a thrill to create characters and then watch their trials and tribulations as they search for their happily ever afters. And then when you’re finished to be able to look down and see the completed piece…it’s a feeling like none other I’ve found.

NG: It is an amazing feeling! What genre(s) do you write and why?

SB: I write romance. Right now the only thing I’ve published is paranormal but I’ve got some non-paranormal romances in various stages of completion as well. I love romance. There is something truly magical about the genre and uplifting. It shows how even in the darkest of times, there is something that keeps us going and makes us stronger.

NG: How would you describe your writing process?

SB: I plan my characters carefully and wait until I really know them for who they are before I start writing. But once I get into the story, the plot is totally by the seat of my pants. So I guess I’m part plotter and part pantser.

NG: What's the one thing you wished you had known about the publishing world before you got into the biz?

SB: I wish I knew more about marketing myself to readers. I’m getting better at it and finding good ways to go about it but it’s a process learning all the new social networking sites and where to advertise.

NG: Any advice you’d like to share with aspiring authors?

SB: Persistence pays off. If you love to write, then just keep at it, because eventually someone will love what you write, too.

NG: What are you working on for the 2011?

SB: Well, I’ve got the second novel in my Alpine Woods Shifter Series, Chasing Paradise, coming out in the late summer/early fall. The story revolves around Ethan, Jason’s brother, and his mate, Gwen. The third book is written but I’m still working on self-editing it before submitting it to my publisher. Other than that, who knows, maybe book four and maybe something new.

NG: Let's talk about your scorching new release, Arctic Winds! What inspired you to pen this sexy tale?

SB: It was actually originally supposed to be a short story for a contest I wanted to enter. But before I knew it, it was too long for the contest guidelines and not nearly finished. I was really involved with the story and the characters and anxious to see where it was heading so I kept at it and the result was the first draft of Arctic Winds. I loved the story so much, I really just wanted to share it with other romance lovers so I decided to see what publishers thought. The rest is history.

NG: What’s the one thing readers can always count on when they pick up a book written by you?

SB: A heartwarming and emotional tale, with all the steamy bits in between.

NG: Delicious! Thank you so much for stopping by Simply Sexy Stories, Sondrae!

SB: Thank you for having me!

Nothing will stop a wolf once he’s found his mate…

After her skulk abandoned her four years ago, Samantha knew she would never truly be wanted. When she accidentally stumbles into a wolf town and is asked by their premier to stay, she believes it’s the novelty of an arctic fox motivating him. She knows she’ll be on her own again once he tires of her.

Jason finds himself pulled to Samantha from the moment she faints in his arms. His wolf is calling to him, telling him he’s found their mate and the heat he feels for Samantha is impossible to resist. But his little fox is loaded down with emotional baggage and doesn’t believe she’s worthy of love. Can he overcome her fears? Or will pack jealousies and the local foxes convince her she doesn’t belong with him before he has a chance?

Caution! Steam Excerpt Below:
Samantha nervously wrung her hands. “Listen, I told you I wasn’t going to cause trouble, but if you don’t believe me, maybe I should just head out. I appreciate everything, and I’m feeling much better now…”

Samantha stopped talking as Jason backed her up against the side of her car. Towering over her, Jason drew her eyes to his. He had a wild, almost feral look in his eyes, and a wave of desire crashed through her. He gripped her hips as he pressed her against her car door with his body.

“I’m not worried you’re going to cause trouble,” he all but growled out.
Staring up into his eyes, altered from their mossy green color to a pale yellow that practically glowed, Samantha felt heat flood her core.

“Then what are you worried about?” Samantha whispered, gripping his forearms. He didn’t answer, but his gaze lowered to her lips and he growled again, low and deep. From her position, pushed up against the car by his hard chest, Samantha didn’t hear the rumble so much as she felt it reverberate against her. With the car behind her and the equally unyielding chest in front of her, Samantha felt an unfamiliar spike in her desire as she realized there was no escape. She didn’t want one. She had no thoughts of running away from this man.

Jason slowly lowered his head and molded his lips to hers. His kiss was softer than she expected, barely exerting any pressure.

She stared into beastly eyes and knew the animal was on a short leash. Wanting his wolf set free, she ran her hands up his arms and locked them behind his neck. Deliberately arching her body into his, she tried to make him snap. She wanted his untamed passion--and she got exactly what she asked for.

He pushed her harder against the car as his tongue thrust into her mouth. It was exhilarating, and she moaned, closing her eyes as she moved restlessly against him.
This kiss was unlike the careless assaults she’d previously experienced. Jason’s kisses felt like he was claiming her mouth as his own.

She freely gave him everything he demanded and more. Samantha massaged his tongue with hers and let the world drift away. Only the two of them existed in this new world. She felt a gentle pressure on her hips, and realizing he had lifted her, she wrapped her legs around his waist. His lower body held her up against her car, completely supporting her. Being in his arms, depending on his strength to keep her from falling, only turned Samantha on more. She deepened the kiss and felt his fangs begin to extend. He lifted his hands from her hips and pushed them up under her sweater to cup her small breasts. He circled her stiff nipples through her lace bra with his thumbs, causing her to moan deeply against his lips.

This was by far the most exhilarating experience she’d ever had, and she moved her body against him. She couldn’t get close enough. She wanted to feel his naked flesh against hers. Samantha didn’t know what miracle had made this strong, beautiful and giving man desire her, but she wanted him, now, before he changed his mind.

Arctic Winds is available now with Lyrical Press, Amazon, B&N, Fictionwise, and most places ebooks are sold!

Simply Sexy Stories Welcomes Shermaine Williams!

NG: I’m welcoming author Shermaine Williams today on Simply Sexy Stories!
Happy New Year, Shermaine! Are there any resolutions pertaining to your writing that you'd like to share?

SW: Happy new year to you too, Nichelle, and thanks for having me. I have to admit, I’m not one of the greatest fan of making resolutions, but 2011 is definitely going to be a year when I write more. 2010 was not good—I concentrated on the wrong type of writing and my fiction suffered.

NG: It must be a nice feeling to be back on track with your writing. What do you enjoy the most about being a writer?

SW: I love creating the story, which can simply be thinking about it and, sometimes, waking in the middle of the night to record an idea in case I forget it. Completing a story feels so satisfactory as well—you feel like you’ve achieved something special.

NG: Agreed! What genre(s) do you write and why?

SW: My stories all tend to be contemporary, but the sub-genres vary. I’ve written paranormal, BDSM, humour and interracial.

NG: How would you describe your writing process?

SW: Hmm, slightly off-key! I don’t stick to specific hours or a work station, which some often swear by. Sometimes I work better in the day, sometimes I work better at night, sometimes on the sofa, sometimes at the desk. It depends on how I feel. I tend to create an outline and start by writing a synopsis and working from that.

NG: What's the one thing you wished you had known about the publishing world before you got into the biz?

SW: All the promotion that would be necessary! It is a little overwhelming at times and takes some getting used to, but I’m getting there.

NG: I find it hard trying to find the balance between writing and promotion. Any advice you’d like to share with aspiring authors?

SW: Don’t give up. Between writer’s block, rejection, time constraints and everything else, it can be difficult, but is worth it. Other than that, plan stories well and give yourself a deadline if you don’t have one from the publisher. It forces you to work and get a manuscript complete.

NG: I love personal deadlines too! What are you working on for the 2011?

SW: So many titles! I have a Lust Bite due out with Total E-bound in April, I’m currently working on a older woman/younger man novel. I hope to get a fem Dom piece finished this year as well as a follow up to Remote Control, which is published on 17 January. I am also working on the follow up to The Second Challenge, published with Phaze.

NG: You're a busy lady! I'm so glad you stopped by Simply Sexy Stories to talk about your scorching new release Lady in Red.

NG: In five sentences or less, share what Lady in Red is about.

SW: Lady in Red is a novel about the relationship that develops between Florence and Mack after she begins working at a firm where he is a partner. She finds that her efforts to stay away from him are in vain as they always seem to end up in each other’s company, for one reason or another. Though she starts off believing that they are merely coincidences, she soon finds there is a greater connection between them.

NG: What inspired you to pen this sexy tale?

SW: I have written a few interracial stories with a black woman/white man combination so I wanted to give it a go the other way around! Its not really that simple. I like stories with a paranormal touch that keep you guessing and I hope Lady in Red does that.

NG: What’s the one thing readers can always count on when they pick up a book written by you?

SW: *Sings Missy Elliot’s Hot Boys* Huh? Oh, sorry, got a little distracted there! Besides the hot boys, I like to think that I write stories that offer a few surprises and make a reader think.

NG: A great combination! Shermaine, thank you so much for stopping by Simply Sexy Stories!

Blurb: Besides the fact that he exudes arrogance, there isn’t much that Florence knows about her new boss. In fact, no one seems to know much about him. Taking the sensible course of action, she fully intends to leave the mysterious Mack to his own devices, but her body and mind have other ideas. No matter how hard she tries, Florence’s mind would always return to him, leading her to do what was necessary to entice him. Little does she know that Mack knows more than she could ever imagine.

Caution! Steamy Excerpt Below:
The carriage rocked slightly as it took them home, causing their arms to come into contact on the mutual armrest. It was clear why everyone in the office liked him, reflecting his casual manner was an easy way to feel at ease with him. Though it felt calculated, this failed to stop her attraction to his open manner, much like everyone else at work.

“Do you think its coincidence that we ended up at the station together?”

“Of course it was a coincidence,” she replied, seeing if she could get a rise out of him.

Her attempt failed, a smile curling his lips as he shook his head, which only made her giggle. The ice was broken further and the two chatted amiably as they wound their way home beneath the London streets, friendly and familiar as if they had known each other for years and travelled together on a regular basis.

They had established that they didn’t live far from each other after Mack brought up the subject when they neared the station. Despite herself, Florence felt faintly disappointed as they got off. Though they lived in the same area, they needed to go in different directions from the station and they stood outside the station to say goodbye to each other.

“See you on Monday.”

“You will,” he replied. “Have a good weekend.”

Though she turned and began to walk away, Florence didn’t get far before Mack stopped her, holding her arm and pushing one side of her waist to pivot her around. She had no chance to protest before he kissed her, one hand on her neck while the other remained at her waist.

His tongue snaked into her mouth with such passionate force it surprised her and left her unable to resist, her arms remaining hanging at her sides due to him holding her tight enough for both of them.

Standing with their bodies firmly pressed together and bathed in the light from the station concourse, they attracted some looks from passersby. Neither noticed, as Florence was too caught up and Mack didn’t care. Folding his body against hers caused her to lean back, and she was forced to grip his upper arms for fear of falling over.

The cold wind blowing around them was no match for the heat Florence’s body produced and, as if she had suddenly become too hot to handle, Mack released her.
Though the kiss ended, his arm remained at her waist to hold her up, her flustered manner causing her to stagger slightly. Stunned by his action, Florence could only look at him, momentarily unable to speak.

Say it ain't so...

Alright, I woke up this morning trying to decide what to blog about and this subject popped into my head. lol I know and this was before my first cup of coffee. I came across this picture last week and was like, "Seriously???" This can't be true, but I've seen quite a few porn videos that depict it is. Yes, I watch porn. Call it scientific research. I actually have my favorite porn stars both male and female. Now, I do not think erotic romance is akin to porn. The two are VERY different, but when it comes to writing hot sex scenes sometimes watching gets the creative juices..umm know flowing. :)

I've seen some strange, weird, wild stuff, but this ass to mouth thing is completely gross. There is nothing sexy about watching a woman take a man's cock in her mouth after it's been in her ass. I shudder in revulsion, wondering is this real? Have they spliced the film to make it look like this is happening or has licking a shit popsicle really become the new norm? Yes, I know you can do enemas and whatever, but come on. With all the STD's, hepatitis risks and who knows what else, how has A2M become so popular?

The sad thing is younger people watching this stuff (you know they are) and thinking this is okay to do. Protected, consensual anal sex between adults is one thing...this is something else.

Am I the only one that thinks this is nasty? Have you seen this? I can't be the only female out there watching the dirty picture shows. :-)

Happy Friday, everyone!

Coming up on Monday: Shermaine Williams, fellow Total E-Bound author with a sizzling excerpt/interview about her latest release Lady in Red!

Hello 2011!!

Okay, I've taken a long enough break. The holidays are done, resolutions have been made and I'm ready to go! I took a break from blogging, but not writing. Over the holiday, I finished and submitted a hot BDSM short that was a lot of fun to write. I can't wait to share more about this baby!

Yesterday, I completed a naughty free read for inclusion in Total E-Bound's April Newsletter. I loved crafting this super short story. It was challenging to wrap these character's story up within the 5,000 word limit. More details on this story coming up!

So, what am I working on now? Well, if my muse would settle down, I would know which WIP to work on. Seriously, ideas for stories have been flying around in my head like crazy lately. Something about the holidays, seeing family, friends and sipping martinis almost every night that sent my creative side into overdrive. I wish I required no sleep. I could write all night long and get these voices out of my head!

Now, where was I...ah, yes, the what am I working on now question. First up, a fantasy erotic romance that I've been itching to write, but couldn't because of other WIP's. Then, I need to get working on the sequel to As You Wish which releases with Total E-Bound on Feb. 21st. And I need to work on the book trailer for AYW and Hearts & Diamonds coming up March 7th. Whew! There's so much to do, but I know it'll get done.

I love reading as much as writing and I'm always sneaking moments to catch up on a book. I enjoyed the time I spent reading over the holidays. What am I reading you ask? Kresley Cole's, No Rest for the Wicked, the second book in her Immortals After Dark series and I'm lovin' it! Stayed up waaaaay too late reading it last night. I kept saying, "I'll stop reading after this scene," and it never happened. I finally forced myself to stop at 1:30 a.m. If you love vamps/weres/fey and other creatures steaming up the pages, you'll love this book!

I recently finished Even the Devil Needs Love by Nadia Aiden and loved it too. Check out my review in Total E-Bound's January Newsletter. This is one steamy read and I loved the characters!

Well, I'm off to work. I hope the New Year brings all of us more reasons to laugh, love and live life to the fullest!
