SC: At the moment erotic romance but I'm working through a paranormal one as well. Love those Vampires.
NG: Me too, Sam! What draws you to erotic romantic novels?
SC: I've read a lot of different stuff over the years and erotic romance seems to have a multitude of layers to it. It's not just about the sex but accepting and drawing people into a relationship, it has also opened doors for me as a reader and writer about concepts I never knew existed. That's what I love.
NG: What are you reading now?
SC: Dirty by Megan Hart
NG: Are there any particular authors you enjoy reading or that have influenced your writing?
SC: Do you have a list that goes on forever, J. R. Ward, Lora Leigh, Diana Palmer, Nichelle Gregory, Saskia Walker, Shiloh Walker... the list can go on and on...
NG: *g* We have similar tastes and I'm honored to be on your list! Describe your writing process...are you a careful plotter or laid back pantster?
SC: For me, it always starts with the characters. What usually happens is a person or people (characters) will appear in my head. I get to know my characters, what they look like, what they do all the little questions. Then once I know the characters I start to work on the relationship, whether it is m/f or m/m/f.
You know, how they come together and then I work out the story line, which tends to come while writing but for me without the characters I can't think up a plot, does that mean I'm laid back?
NG: Has your writing process changed since your first book was published?
SC: Yes, I write more now.
NG: What are you currently working on?
SC: Right now I'm going through my paranormal romance that I'm working on and looking at a seasonal (Christmas) love story.
NG: Sweet! Let's talk about Office Hours which is hot off the presses today! What's this erotic romance all about?
SC: Two people who work together, who seem to have nothing in common are suddenly thrust together where they have to learn to trust. Time away from other people and the world is always good and with Office Hours all these two people need is time and a snow storm. Did I mention I adore snow.
NG: Brrr! Don't mention the 'S' word! *g* What inspired you to pen this sexy tale?
SC: A love of Buxton and once Anya appeared in my head she wouldn't leave me alone. That sassiness had to be written. Nathan was perfect for her, now my mind is free for other takers.
NG: Which movie stars would accurately portray your main characters?
SC: I really don't know. When I wrote Office Hours I was only watching cookery shows, I love cooking. So I didn't let any actors/ actresses in on the action if you know what I mean. Erm, I suppose you could go with Anya being like Kate Winslet from Titanic with the red hair and Nathan is more of a Gerard Butler from the Ugly truth minus the facial hair. Does that work?
NG: Yup, I've got a nice visual of your characters! If you had to add a song/soundtrack to your manuscript what would it be?
SC: erm.. none, I wrote this while cookery shows were playing in the background.
NG: Were there any creative challenges faced and conquered before you wrote, 'The End'?
SC: I think it was getting Anya to accept that she could love again. She could trust another man with her heart. I got really attached to her and how she could deal with the trouble of relationships. She simply didn't have any and suddenly there is this guy who wants to be with her. So it was allowing Nathan, making him the right guy for her, to take care of her.
NG: Give me three reasons readers will love Office Hours.
SC: It has snow. Some great sex and two stubborn people who fall in love.
NG: What's the one thing readers can always count on when picking up one of your books?
SC: I love romance and a love story and that is what I try to include in all of my stories no matter how difficult it may seem, a happy ending.
NG: Ahh! The perfect combination for romance lovers! Thanks for sharing your big day here on Simply Sexy Stories, Sam! Best wishes for this and future releases!

Caution! Super Sexy Excerpt Below:
Nathan switched his phone off, watching Anya sleep peacefully with a smile on her face. He wondered what she was dreaming about to put such ease on her face. A musky, beautifully feminine smell filled the car. When he’d first smelt it teasing his nostrils, he’d been sure it was her female essence, but now he thought he must be losing his mind. There was no way she could have climaxed in the back of his limousine.
Anya would never do such a thing—surely she was too prim and proper. No way he’d ever catch her with her hand down her pants. She had her hair in a bun, for crying out loud! He sat staring at her, her lips full, slightly open, teasing him. He shook his head. Get her out of your mind.
His cock swelled in his pants, forcing him to recognise his fella’s existence—no action in a while, and now he was trying to poke his head out when he least wanted it.
No sex with the PA. No sex with the PA.
He could just imagine a sexual harassment case being slammed in his lap.

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
