Simply Sexy Stories Welcomes DC Juris!

NG: I’m welcoming DC Juris on Simply Sexy Stories! Hi, DC! Happy New Year!

DC: Happy New Year to you, too! Thanks for having me today!

NG: My pleasure, I'm pleased to have you as my first guest author of the year! Did you make New Year’s resolutions?

DC: Nah. I don't really believe in waiting for a specific date to make changes in your life.

NG: What are you reading right now?

DC: I'm re-reading The Island of Doctor Moreau by H.G. Wells for about the hundredth time.

NG: Oooo...great book! Care to share some of your favorite authors?

DC: You're just trying to get a guy in trouble! ::grins::

NG: I wouldn't do that! ;-)

DC: I don't talk about my favorite m/m authors. But as far as mainstream, I like H.G. Wells, RA Salvatore, and Richard Knaak.

NG: Nice! Winter is here! Do you enjoy the snow?

DC: I do not! LOL I have a lot of joint issues and horrendous arthritis, and the snow makes me grouchier than I should be. Also, I've got SAD, so the winter months aren't my favorite.

NG: Which would you rather drink to warm up...hot chocolate or hot toddy?

DC: My preference would be a hot toddy, but sadly I'm no longer allowed to have alcohol. But it's all good - I like hot chocolate, too!

NG: So do I! Okay, let's talk about your writing. What genre(s) do you write and why?

DC: I mainly write contemporary and fantasy. Why? I don't have to do as much research. I hate research.

NG: It is time consuming. What draws you to erotic romantic novels?

DC: Quite simply, I like writing and reading about sex.

NG: LOL...your direct, I like that! Is there any particular word or thing in erotic romance novels that you dislike as a reader?

DC: Man tits. Man cunt. Man pussy. All those man-"female body part" words. UGH. Men have nipples, penises, and asses. Just use those words. Seriously - anything else is really unsexy!

NG: Well said! Reading man cunt within a story would definitely turn me off.

Describe your writing process...are you a careful plotter or laid back pantster?

DC: I'm definitely not a plotter. I write things down as they come to me, and piece them together later on.

NG: Has your writing process changed since your first book was published?

DC: About the only thing I do differently is I don't send every story to a beta reader anymore. I'm more confident in my writing and what my editor wants.

NG: Isnt' that a beautiful feeling? What are you working on for 2012?

DC: I've got 24 WIPs going on right now. I'm working with mostly new characters, but Jack and Alan fans will be happy to know there's another book in the works featuring them, and Vance, Raine, and Andrew fans are finally getting the book they wanted - the one that tells how the sexy trio got together.

NG: 24 WIP's??!! Wowzers! That's wild, DC! Well, let's talk about your latest release, Betrayed. In five sentences or less, share what Betrayed is about.

DC: 5 sentences or less??? Sheesh. You make a boy work for it, don't you? Um…okay, here goes: Betrayed is about love - how it endures, what it can encompass, what it can forgive. And what it can't. (There!)

NG: Ha ha! You did it and quite well might I add! What inspired you to pen this sexy tale?

DC: Actually, Betrayed came about as a result of several (about 20) re-writes of my very first work.

NG: Give me three reasons readers will love Betrayed.

DC: Meldrick - he's reason enough. He's tormented, tortured, all knotted up inside. It's an interesting ride watching him work things out. The fantasy setting is pretty cool, I think. And #3 would have to be the sex. What can I say?

NG: Tell me the one thing readers can always count on when picking up one of your books?

DC: Smut. Well, with the exception of one of my stories. I like to write hot sex, so that's always going to be there. Unless it's not. LOL

NG: Thank you so much for coming on Simply Sexy Stories, DC, best wishes for all your endeavors in 2012!

DC: Thanks for having me!!! :-)

Blurb: Two years after he lost his soul mate to the war, Faldor still pines for Meldrick. His world is turned upside down when Meldrick appears on his doorstep late one night, seemingly back from the dead. Finally escaped from a prison camp, Meldrick protects a dar secret--one that could rip their rekindled love apart if Faldor ever learned the truth.

But the longer they're together, the more questions come up. What really happened two years ago? How did Meldrick escape the prison camp after so long? Is Meldrick the still the man Faldor fell in love with? Can Meldrick reconcile who he is with who he was and move beyond his treachery, or will betrayal win?

Caution!
Super Hot Excerpt Below:

“Mel?” Faldor had awoken without Meldrick noticing, had sat up in bed, blankets clutched around himself, looking at Meldrick with worry, long, thick hair cascading around his head and over his shoulders in waves of liquid gold, fluffy white nightshirt askew, revealing one pale shoulder. By the gods, but Faldor was ravishing!

Meldrick moved without even realizing his steps. He crawled onto the bed and straddled Faldor. Without hesitation, he grabbed Faldor by the hair, hauled the smaller man up, and kissed Faldor savagely. He pushed Faldor back down into the bed, never taking his lips away, and clawed at Faldor’s nightshirt, ripping it open even as he bit and sucked at Faldor’s mouth.

Faldor answered, twining his arms around Meldrick’s neck and arching his back and hips up, grinding them against Meldrick’s body with a sweet, low moan.

Meldrick wrapped his arms tight around Faldor, molded their bodies together in a crushing embrace that wrenched a squeak from the lips beneath his. But he didn’t care. He held on, kissing Faldor, squeezing Faldor as though the healer might slip away.

He shook. Meldrick’s entire body—from feet to hands—shook. With passion for the man he loved. With rage for what his captors had turned him into. With shame for what he’d let himself become. What he’d become. Meldrick pulled away with a cry. He should explain. Apologize. Make an excuse. Something. Anything. But the words would not come. He bolted from the bed and stood there, staring mutely, unable to meet Faldor’s eyes, unable to speak, but yearning to somehow make Faldor understand.

Betrayed will be available on January 13th with Breathless Press!

Author Bio: A Southern transplant who has retained none of his accent but all of his charm, DC Juris is an out and proud transgender bisexual living in Upstate New York with his husband, four dogs, three cats, and a menagerie of Halloween props just creepy enough to keep people guessing about his sanity.

He's still hopelessly single when it comes to the woman in his life, and he'll gladly entertain offers or applications for the position! In the rare event that he's not writing, DC can be found surfing the internet for random research, killing things on his Xbox, reading, taking pictures of the world around him, or playing Farmville, to which he admits a complete and totally blissful addiction.
