KK: Hi! Thanks for having me here.
NG: My pleasure! Let’s start with some Kellie Kamryn trivia questions!
What’s your favorite time of day?
KK: Evening after my kids have gone to bed. It’s quiet and I just veg out.
NG: What’s your favorite place to write?
KK: On my PC or laptop. I can’t really choose a favorite location b/c my office is kind of in the living room at the moment so I can keep an eye on my kids!
NG: I can relate! What’s your favorite drink in the morning?
KK: Water or tea. Can’t start the day off without one of those.
NG: What are you reading right now?
KK: Oh, I have several on the go! Right now it’s Lucky Ducks by Jan Romes. Then it’s an inspiration called The Gift of An Ordinary Day. I have lots to read!
NG: Do you have an e-reader? If so, tell me whether it was easy or difficult to adjust to reading digital books. Do you prefer paperbacks?
KK: I have a Sony reader and a Kindle. I love my Kindle because I can download books with two click, LOL I still like paperbacks but my ereader lets me read books by authors who are only digital and it’s easy to take a lot of books on a trip. Occasionally, I do take a paperback to an appointment if I have to wait.
NG: You’ve been captured and your captor tells you to choose one book to amuse yourself during your imprisonment...which book would you choose? J
KK: Oh boy…what would I choose? Does it have to be just one? One of Jo Davis’ Firefighter of Station Five series. Those books are da bomb!
NG: Interesting, I haven't read this series. What do you think is the biggest misconception about females writing in this genre?
KK: That we’re horny all the time. Or that we experience everything we write about. It’s called an imagination people! I use my imagination for your entertainment.
NG: Do the people in your life know about your writing? Are they supportive?
KK: Most of the people in my life know about my writing and are very supportive. I have a great group of friends who want to buy all my books. Can’t help but be happy about that!
NG: What advice would you give to inspiring authors interested in penning successful erotic romances?
KK: Learn how to write a good story. Take online classes or attend conferences. Network. I did all of that, and most importantly, DON’T GIVE UP! If you want to do it bad enough, keep working on it.
NG: Great advice, Kellie! Okay, let's talk about your writing.
KK: Yes. Let’s. *G*
NG: Describe your writing process...are you a careful plotter or laid back pantster?
KK: I’m probably a combination of both. With my short stories, I tend to write and see where the characters take me. With a novel, I do a fair bit of plotting but still let the characters take me on an adventure.
NG: How many hours a day do you try to commit to your manuscript?
KK: I don’t go for numbers. I write as much as I can, or edit, and when I’m done for the day, I’m done.
NG: What’s your biggest distraction from focusing on your writing?
KK: My kids! Or the internet. The internet I can shut off. The kids I can’t. They come first.
NG: Yes, they do. LOL...we have the same distractions! What are you working on for 2012?
KK: A short sweet romance, edits for book 3 in my Love and Balance series, and an erotic suspense. Should keep me busy and out of trouble.
NG: Busy lady! Let's talk about The Perfect Score. What's this story all about?
KK: The new head coach has barely gotten her beams in alignment when she’s threatened with a lawsuit by a father for refusing to train his brat of a daughter.
NG: What inspired you to pen this story?
KK: As a gymnastics instructor for 25 years, I thought a series of romances written around the sport would be an original idea.
NG: That's so cool and very original! Give me three reasons readers will love The Perfect Score.
KK: It’s different. It’s hot. It makes you feel.
NG: Delish! What's the one thing readers can always count on when picking up one of your books?
KK: I don’t just write about sex for the sake of it. Sure I pen some hot stories, but I like people to feel my characters struggles and emotions. One of my books is sure you to make you feel something! If readers like The Perfect Score, they should be sure to pick up Rebound, book 1.
NG: Thank you so much for coming on Simply Sexy Stories, Kellie, best wishes for all your endeavors in 2012!
KK: Thanks for having me here!
Blurb: Shelley Longstaff finally has her chance to be in charge only to rue the day when she is asked to train the dreaded Anna Fortier, a gymnast who has no sense of sportsmanship and makes everyone in her vicinity miserable. When Shelley refuses, she’s threatened with a lawsuit by her father. To make things worse, Shelley has an inexplicable attraction to the arrogant rich lawyer!
Since his wife’s death five years ago, Jacques (Jack) Fortier does whatever it takes to protect what is his. Shelley’s club is his last resort to keep his daughter in the sport, but threatening to sue her isn’t exactly his smartest move. When she grudgingly agrees to give Anna a chance, he finds himself attracted to the spritely gymnastics coach – the first woman he’s had any feelings for since his wife passed away.
As Shelley and Jack leap over the line in their parent-coach relationship, Shelley worries over falling in love with a man who admittedly still loves his late wife. But when a crisis of teenage proportions threatens their relationship, will they risk everything for the chance to achieve The Perfect Score?
Caution! Super Sexy Excerpt Below:
Jack laid her back, eyeing her like a prize. Situating himself between her legs, the fingers of one hand spanned her chest, teasing her already beaded flesh with his thumb and middle finger.
The digits of his other hand skimmed up the inside of one of her thighs, and his tongue followed their path. She arched her pelvis toward him as his tongue danced across her stomach and over her groin on the other side. His breath hot against her, he played his fingertips through the soft folds of her sex before pressing a tender kiss to her core.
Shelley nearly flew over the edge, gasping his name when he delved his tongue into her opening and swept over the swollen nub. He never stayed long enough in one place to bring her to release. She dug her heels into the couch and bucked her hips upward, wordlessly demanding he give her the satisfaction she craved.
He stopped his ministrations to her sweat-slicked chest and clamped his hands onto her hips, forcing her back onto the couch. Holding her captive, he nudged her thighs further apart with his elbows, splaying her sex with his thumbs.
When he blew a cooling breath over her engorged clit, she cried out. Encouraged, he stroked two fingers deep, stretching her sensitive tissues. His tongue flicked in and around her clit, and she thrashed her head from side to side, writhing under him as her mind went numb all but for the wonderful sensation blooming in her belly. The feeling grew to near bursting point, but Jack changed his rhythm to wide, slow licks. The delicious tension in her body eased, and she moaned in frustration, half disappointed she’d hadn’t seen the end, half elated there would be more.
“Jack, please,” she begged, wanting to ignite the slow burn in her pussy. He flicked his tongue quickly over her tender pearl of paradise and increased the pace of his hand. The light blossomed like a flower opening its petals to the sun and spread throughout her body like wildfire. Her body went rigid, before she catapulted into the heavens like a gymnast pinging off the high bar.
As she came down off her high, she laid there, eyes closed, chest heaving, feeling his cheek caressing her inner thigh, her body still shaking with after-shocks.
Finally, she propped herself up on her elbows. Sprawled on the couch with her dress bunched around her waist, her nakedness on display, she had never felt more wanton. Or satisfied.
He pressed one last kiss to her womanly temple and withdrew his fingers from her sheath.
“Wow,” she said with a grin. Quite the appetizer. I’m all in for the main course.
