Simply Sexy Stories Welcomes ER Pierce!

NG: I’m welcoming ER Pierce on Simply Sexy Stories! Hi, ER!

EP: Hey Nichelle, thank you so much for having me at Simply Sexy Stories. I love your blog and I am a huge fan of your posts and flashes.

NG: Awww! Thank you! Let’s start with some ER Pierce trivia questions! What’s your favorite time of day?

EP: Mid-morning, after I've had a shot of Caffeine, but before I crash from said caffeine * laughs *

NG: What’s your favorite place to write?

EP: I like to write in bed. I enjoy being comfortable and in familiar surroundings. If I can't write at home because the little monsters...uhh...the kids are being rambunctious, I pack up my laptop and headphones and head to the local coffee house.

NG: I like to write in bed too! What’s your favorite drink in the morning?

EP: Without a doubt, ice coffee with chocolate syrup. I would not function without my morning dose of sugar. (I can hear my co-authoring laughing as he reads this.)

NG: What are you reading right now?

EP: About that Night by Julie James. Ms. James is one of my favorite authors in the Contemporary Romance genre. She has a fresh style and great characters.

NG: Do you have an e-reader? If so, tell me whether it was easy or difficult to adjust to reading digital books. Do you prefer paperbacks?

EP: I have a Kindle and a Nook. Though I prefer my K3. The transition was simple for me. Did I want to try and find a place for 300+ paperback books, or have 300 books on one tiny little device... No brainer. I donated most of my paperback and hardcover books to the library. I have two shelves where I keep my signed copies, ARC's and personal favorites that I re-read or have special meaning.

NG: You’ve been captured and your captor tells you to choose one book to amuse yourself during your imprisonment...which book would you choose?

EP: Shit that is a toss up. Any In Death (J.D. Robb) or Kate Daniels (Ilona Andrews) Novel.

NG: What do you think is the biggest misconception about females writing in this genre?

EP: I've never really thought about it, but I guess they might think we don't have every day, normal lives outside of writing hot and steamy books ;) Or that we sit around and watch porn to gather ideas. * shuffles through porn collection * Oh. Uh. You caught me.

NG: lol...Do the people in your life know about your writing? Are they supportive?

EP: Yes, my family knows what I write, and are my biggest champions. I'm lucky.

NG: That's wonderful! What advice would you give to other writers looking to self-publish?

EP: Make sure you have an entrepreneurial mindset, if you don't, consider shopping your novel to a publishing house. Self-Publishing is not easy. You are everything. You pay for everything. You do everything. You. You. You. And only You. I wouldn't have it any other way, personally. I love self-publishing.

NG: I admire the drive and commitment it takes to self-publish. Okay, let's talk about your writing! Describe your writing process...are you a careful plotter or laid back pantster?

EP: The dreaded question. Most of the time, I fly by the seat of my pants. Some of my novels have loose outlines. It varies project to project. I don't like to hem myself in with a rigid outline, but at the same time, I can appreciate how an outline aids my stories and keeps my wayward brain on track.

NG: How many hours a day do you try to commit to your manuscript?

EP: At least one. I have four children who are still rather needy and demanding, and they always come first. I write when I can. In a perfect world, I'd write all day long, sipping sangria on a beach in Maui, surrounded by naked men at my beck and call-- but alas, twas not meant to be.

NG: What’s your biggest distraction from focusing on your writing?

EP: Freaking Facebook. * laughs *

NG: lol...What are you working on for 2012?

EP: Oh I have so many projects. I'm working on Steel #1.5 which features Ville and Serena from Fractured Moon. I'm also congruently writing #2.5, and plotting the next Ceithin and Aurelia full length novel. I'm co-authoring with Benjamin T. Russell on a joint/overlapping series that rocks, and I cannot wait to share it with you all! I have outlined my next two erotic marriage novella's in my contemporary romance series. And I hope to have a prequel out soon featuring the Villain from the Steel Series.

NG: You are a busy lady! Let's talk about your debut release Fractured Moon. What's this story all about?

EP: Fractured Moon is about Aurelia Fridell, who struggles with being a defective werewolf. Defective because she cannot shift to her four legged counter-part when everyone in her family can. She has a twin brother named Ville, and he is her confidant, best friend and has the power to hurt her the most, because they can feel each others emotions. The Werewolf culture is based solely on lore, and at almost thirty years old, Aurelia still has no idea why she is different. Fractured Moon is about her journey, and finding answers. She also finds her {True} mate. Ceithin and Aurelia have a rough start because Ceithin is already involved with someone. He fights a lot of inner battles.

NG: I love the premise, ER! What inspired you to pen this tale?

EP: It's hard to say, I wish I knew where ideas and creativity came from. They {Aurelia and Ceithin} jumped and latched onto my brain and wouldnft let go. I tried to shake them loose. I tried to ignore them, but when they intruded on my already precious sleep time, I gave in and started writing. I'll say that the story originated as something completely different and morphed into what you'll read today. I'm happy with the direction Fractured Moon took, though it was a hard fought journey.

NG: Give me three reasons readers will love Fractured Moon.

EP: One: Aurelia is relateable. She has self-confidence issues, and she could be your best friend, or your neighbor. She harbors an inner strength that shines and carries her through her hardships. She's normal, well, for a werewolf. OK, almost werewolf.

Two: When Ceithin and Aurelia are together, they light up the pages. They have insane chemistry.

Three: Fractured Moon will keep you guessing and clicking the next button trying to figure out what is going to happen next. I can guarantee it will surprise you.

NG: I'm sold! What's the one thing readers can always count on when picking up one of your books?

EP: An interesting and unique story. A break from the norm and everyday tropes in paranormal romance and the subsidiaries. Books with emotion and characters you will root for.

NG: Thank you so much for coming on Simply Sexy Stories, ER, best wishes for all your endeavors in 2012!

EP: Thank you Nichelle, I appreciate you sampling a taste of my...stories. I hope to return the favor someday.

Blurb: Aurelia Fridell will always be a freak. Born to werewolf parents, her twin brother Ville can shift forms, but she can't. Twenty-five years searching for answers yields nothing.

As her thirtieth birthday approaches, isolation creeps in, and worry settles in her gut. She accepted her existence long ago, and yet lately, she's felt off-kilter. Eyes follow her, prickling her senses. Her headaches are getting worse.

Is she paranoid, or is there really someone, or something, stalking her? Watching. Waiting. Drumming fingers to a sinister beat she can't hear.

Time will tell.

Ceithin Starkley isn't looking for a mate. Especially now. In fact, he doesn't believe in true-matings at all. While he is being recruited for a new job, a scent on the wind stuns him, and he finds himself fighting an inner battle he never wanted, yet can't ignore.

Sparks fly, as Ceithin and Aurelia fight fate and race against a clock neither knows is ticking.

Will he claim Aurelia before he loses her for good?

Warning: This book is sexy. Contains a drool-worthy Alpha male wearing Beta clothing. A sassy and sweet heroine with brains and brothers you'll adore. A best friend every girl would love to hate. I mean have. And an impossible road no one will see coming.

Caution! Tantalizing Excerpt Below:
"Looking for me," his voiced whispered into my ear.

I yelped.

"Oh, my god! Ceithin you scared the shit out of me!" About to wheel around, his hands snaked around my waist, and he pulled me up flush against his rock hard chest. His erection pressed up tight against my ass, and I couldn't stop rocking back against him, eliciting a rumble from deep in his throat. His hands caressed my sides, up and down, and he lightly traced the underside of my breasts with his fingertips, causing my nipples to pucker and juices to flood between my legs. He leaned his head down and licked the steaming water off my neck, using the tip of his tongue to trace up the vein to my ear lobe, where he bit down and tugged.

I moaned and leaned further back, tilting my head to give him easier access. He walked us backwards, where we had better footing. The pools graded from four feet to over twelve feet. He stopped when water reached the top of my breasts. He turned me around and looked deep into my eyes. "This place is beautiful, Aurelia; the smells, the sounds, the moon overhead. I can see why this place makes you peaceful." He touched his nose to mine, softly, staring into my eyes.

I watched his pupils dilate further, and his gorgeous bi-colored eyes took on a sheen of animal intensity and vibrant lust. His erection pressed between my legs, trapped within the V of my body. He began to inch his way out and slide in. I clenched my thighs together, making a tighter channel. Between the warm water, the scent of us together, and the raw naked lust raging between us, we'd be coming soon, and we hadn't had sex yet.

He breathed into my ear, "I want to make love to you. I want to slide in your wet heat and pull my cock back, inch by inch, torturing us both, then slam back inside, making us groan."

God I wanted that too. I was afraid if we had sex now, the bonding process would begin, and I wasn't sure if we were ready for permanent commitment. He had to feel the intensity too. It couldn't only be one sided...could it? Fuck.

"I want that too, Ceithin. I want that more than anything." Who wouldn't? I mean just look at the man. His slumbering bedroom eyes, his rock hard chest, his perfectly shaped torso leading to a sexy V, and down the pleasure trail, to where his huge cock waited. I whimpered as he slipped between my thighs rocking us slowly, but soon his hips started moving faster and faster. He pulled his cock away from the juncture between my thighs, and the acute loss pissed me off. I snarled at him.

He chuckled.

I opened my mouth to berate him for teasing me, but he spun me around again and wedged his hard length back between my ass and thighs. He rocked, but this time, his hands joined in the fun. One pinched my nipple as the other traveled all the way south and pinched the hood of my clit. Strong fingers tugged, fast and sure, causing me to jerk and shudder. I'd been on the verge of orgasm since we left my hotel. He pulled taut on my lips, circling my clit with his forefinger and the orgasm slammed into me so hard and fast, blinding white light and bright little orbs flashed before my eyes. He growled and moaned behind me, and since I wanted to touch him too, I reached down between my thighs and touched the head of his cock with my warm shaky fingers, sliding my tips over his slit and made an O with thumb and forefinger.

As his crown punched through the ring, I tightened my grip around him, sliding them up and down his length.

"God, so good, Aurelia." He bit down on my earlobe, mumbling nonsensical words.

"Haven't...touched a a year." Harsher panting. "You're so hot and tight. I can't wait to...make you mine." He clamped down harder, licked the rivets of perspiration trailing down my neck, then his panting grew heavier. "Need you, need you so much." A deep croak rumbled out of his throat. He thrust faster. His chest heaved behind me, his arms held me tight, like unmovable steel bands. Only his hips moved, faster, and faster.

He came hard. My smile widened as he shuddered behind me and bit down on my neck with his teeth, drawing blood. Showing dominant ownership of my body. I sighed. Content. Then the panic started. I broke out in a cold sweat, the heated water like millions of tiny icicles coating my skin.

He licked the spot he'd bitten, the soft sweep of his tongue over his mark, my undoing. Sudden yearning sprang from my heart, and it scared me to death. To let him see my emotions, this soon...I couldn't. So I did what any sane woman would do. I used my ass to push him back a step, and dove under the water like an otter. I kicked hard and his hands missed my ankle by inches. The murky water made it impossible for him to see me. I dove down to the deepest part of the pool and stayed under as long as my breath would hold. I composed myself before blowing out a few air bubbles and launching off the floor to break the surface of the water.

I looked around the pool to find it empty. Ceithin was gone.

Curious about ER Pierce?

  1. Thank you Nichelle, I had a lot of fun... interviewing with you :D

  2. My pleasure, ER! Come back anytime! ;-)

  3. ER and Nichelle, what’s up with this writing in bed stuff? For real, both of you write in bed? Hmm, that’s interesting. The bed is for sleeping and….other things, but writing? I don’t even eat in bed. Oh, hold on a second, Jezebel (My Muse) wants to have a sidebar.

*Well? Oh, that’s right – I guess I do eat in bed. Oops – yeah, I forgot about that. Creative juices – that’s a good point.*

Ok, I stand corrected - it seems that Jezebel thinks she and I need to do more writing in bed ourselves.

You two Ladies have nice chemistry together and I loved how this interviewed flowed. Thankfully, ER was on her best behavior and Nichelle you were delightfully restrained – for you.

I’ve read Finding Time and it’s a 4-Star hottie every woman should read. Then after she’s read it, she should sit on her man’s chest (or face) and read it to him. I’m currently reading Fractured Moon and I’ve got the hots for Aurelia best friend. ER, why do all your books start off with an ‘F-word’ in the title?

Great interview ladies and I apologize for the lengthy comment. It seems all that talk about what could/can be done in bed got Jezebel going. Muwah!!@

  4. Well, I can't be naughty all the time, Benji. I have a tame side as well. I can even be sweet.
